Vintage kitchen inspiration: Magnolia Bakery 01/06/12

Last Friday my younger daughter and I spent the afternoon wandering around downtown. We took in The Art Institute’s new modern wing, then headed over to the Magnolia Bakery for a snack. I immediately fell in love with the decor and just had to share some shots with you. There’s a lot of vintage kitchen inspiration here. Cleanly displayed collections, industrial pieces mixed with warm vintage accessories that were probably in your grandmother’s home.

Don’t you just love the Magnolia Bakery? I walk by it after work sometimes…it’s like heaven.

I do! I want my kitchen to look just like this. We should meet over there for a cupcake soon. :)

Absolutely gorgeous!! In my someday house, I’ll collect all those fun, vintage/antique kitchen-y things. :) They make me happy and (yes) remind me of my grandparents.

Hi Tara. Are you on Pinterest? I’ve decorated several “someday houses” on there. Including a “someday resort” with a barn that has long harvest tables and mismatched antique chandeliers. It’s MUCH cheaper than buying all these houses in real life. :)

Hi Alana~ I live in the farwest ‘burbs of Chicago. Hubby and I were just talking about going to the Art Institute soon. I never knew about this nearby bakery. Will definitely have to visit it when we go. Thanks for sharing, I’m now a follower!
